Just a few random updates that I think you’ll all enjoy. First off, I came across some portrait shots that Josh and his Fringe castmates took at the FOX Upfront on Monday. They’re really great looking and I hope to have some HQs available soon.

ONE WEEK NEWS
In movie news, Josh’s award winning film, “One Week” is now available On Demand with your local cable provider (Cox, Comcast, Time Warner, etc.) and can be enjoyed thanks to the folks over at IFC Entertainment. Be sure to check this out while you can, as DVD sales for this project haven’t made their way to the U.S. or some other countries just yet.

And speaking of DVDs, you can now pre-order (if you haven’t already) your copy of Fringe Season 2 on DVD and Blu-Ray. You can help support Josh-Jackson.net by pre-ordering your copy via the links found on the side bar to the left. This looks to be a great set for your collection, so don’t delay! And thanks in advance for your support of the site.

There has been some buzz and news about a “Glee-centric” episode of Fringe (a la Buffy?) coming next month. However, the news would never quite confirm if Josh was going to be partaking in the joyous occasion.

Well, according to IGN.com, he is!

This musical episode of Fringe, entitled “Overture,” will air during a Glee-themed week of music-inspired programming in May, and will feature the series regulars (Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson) breaking into song and dance. This could either go the excellent route of Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s famous “Once More, With Feeling” episode, or the awful route of failed series like Cop Rock and Viva Laughlin.

Hopefully these rumors are true and we can see him crooning with the best of them (or not?!). And don’t forget that there is an ALL NEW episode of Fringe next week!

Well I know that a lot of Josh fans were disappointed to find that Diane didn’t have her lovely escort by her side last night. We had such high hopes that they’d grace the red carpet into the Oscar’s, but to our dismay, it wasn’t meant to be. So, what happened? No one knows for sure. But Josh did redeem himself by accompanying her to the 2010 Vanity Fair Oscar party afterward! He looked dashing in his gray tux and Diane changed into a cute red dress. I’ve updated the galleries with tons of photos of them from the event.

Also, Watch with Kristin revealed a little potential spoiler today: The producers (that’s Kevin Williamson from Dawson’s Creek!) of The Vampire Diaries are trying to get Josh to appear on their show! We’ll keep you posted if anything becomes of it.

Josh has been given a Best Actor nomination for his work in ONE WEEK by the Genie Awards! The Genie Awards is Canada’s equivalent of the Oscars. This is a great honor and we’re thrilled for him. His co-star, Liane Balaban was also nominated for Best Actress.

Congrats!

Per the FutonCritic.com:

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) — FOX is giving “Fringe” an extra boost before its upcoming hiatus.

Network sources have confirmed to the site exclusively that an original installment of the second-year series will follow a new “House” on Monday, January 11.

Said pair will face off against the time period premieres of “Chuck” and “Heroes” on NBC as well as fresh installments of CBS’s comedies and week two of “The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love” on ABC.

As previously announced, “Fringe” will take a seven-week break from its regular Thursday, 9:00/8:00c home in February and March to make room for the midseason drama “Past Life.” The series will then resume its run on Thursday, April 1.

This *may* be the episode that never aired at the end of Season One or what was scheduled to be in the Season Two season so far. Could it be the episode that is featured in our “Next on Fringe” video section to the left? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Friends Without Borders First Annual Gala in Los Angeles - PR release

Friends Without A Border’s First Annual Los Angeles Gala to be Held at Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel With Special Guest Performance by Robin Thicke
LOS ANGELES, Dec. 9 /PRNewswire/ — On Thursday, December 10th , Hollywood Roosevelt hotel will host Friends Without A Border’s first Annual Los Angeles Gala with all proceeds benefiting Angkor Hospital for Children. Co-chairs Jason Pomeranc, Kenro Izu, David Chang and Goodwin Gaw are joined by hosts Ali Larter and Hayes Macarthur, Amaury Nolasco, Diane Kruger and Josh Jackson, Anne Hathaway, Eva Longoria Parker, Jennifer Morrison, Kate Hudson, Molly Sims, Paula Patton and Robin Thicke, Rebecca Gayheart and Eric Dane, and Stephen Moyer. The evening will feature a highly anticipated special performance by the soulful Robin Thicke, cocktails and lite fare, live and silent auctions, music by Samantha Ronson, and sessions of Hollywood Dominos with Daya Fernandez.

15 years ago, I traveled to Cambodia to photograph Angkor Wat for my next project. Very unexpectedly, helplessly, painfully, I watched a child slip away, because there was no medical treatment available. And, her death was preventable. How do you go back to the life you know after that? Our event will take place December 10th, which is also International Human Rights Day. Whether you support our hospital or another charity, we need to make sure that all our children have a future,” stated famed Japanese photographer and FWAB founder Kenro Izu.

In the late 1970’s, two million out of seven million Cambodians were tortured and executed, leaving a legacy of a shattered society to its children. Today, half of the population of 14 million is under the age of 21, over one-third is under the age of 15, and almost forty-percent lives on US$1 a day. We continue our work to help heal and rebuild the vital components of the country’s infrastructure: healthcare, research and education, to ensure at the very least that each child will live to her or his fifth birthday.

Pictures and more details from the event will be coming later tonight!
