For all you Dawson’s Creek fans that just loved Grams (if you didn’t, shame on you!), you’ll be happy to hear that she’ll be having a role on Josh’s show, Fringe!

Per TV Guide:

Instead, let me reveal exclusively that there will be a Dawson’s Creek reunion on Fringe! In an upcoming episode, Mary Beth Peil, who played Jen’s loyal Grams on Creek over five years and 128 episodes, will cross paths with Joshua Jackson’s Peter Bishop. (Jackson, of course, made his name as smartaleck Pacey Witter on Dawson’s.)

Peil’s character, Jessica Warren, is important to the Fringe mythology. She’s the mother of a young woman who was killed 20 years ago in an explosion at Walter’s lab, the incident that lead to his incarceration. Jessica shows up when she finds out that Walter has been released from the mental institution.

Peil’s episode is scheduled to air in January.

What’s changed since he was a Dawson’s Creek pinup? “I’m not nearly as embarrassed being called attractive at 30. At 18, you’re tall, gawky, bad haircut. Somebody tells you you’re a heartthrob and you feel like a fraud. At 30, I’m happy, I’m in love,” says Jackson, who dates actress Diane Kruger and stars on FOX’s paranormal drama Fringe. “I can take it all with a grain of salt.”

I recently got to visit the cast of the FOX Network hit drama, “Fringe” and see their FBI bullpen for myself! The thriller is set in Boston, but they actually shoot on a set in Queens, New York. I dropped in on Monday morning and the first thing I heard was lots of laughter. The gang seemed to be in high spirits, with star Joshua Jackson, who plays Peter Bishop, in the middle of all the fun.

Fringe: Episode 1.07 - In Which We Meet Mr. Jones x 527 images

Fringe did well last night after a two-week hiatus and per TVbytheNumbers.com, dominated the 9:00 hour! It reached almost 9 million U.S. homes and hit its key demographics in the #1 spot for ages 18-49.

Speaking of hiatus, with Josh here in Los Angeles, Fringe is on a filming hiatus until Friday. Filming will resume in New York City Friday and into possibly this weekend and will continue until Thanksgiving.

Also, don’t forget that TOMORROW Josh is scheduled to appear on the Bonnie Hunt Show! The show is syndicated so times and channels will vary, so be sure to check your TV listings for details.

Be sure to place your People’s Choice Awards vote and you’ll find Fringe several pages down the list (you can also click the widget below). The show will air on Wednesday, January 7th on CBS.

With the new year just around the corner, Fox is mixing up their mid-season lineup with some great changes that’ll benefit FRINGE. Currently, the show has a lead-in from the popular HOUSE, but now, the show will get an even BIGGER lead-in from the IMMENSELY popular AMERICAN IDOL! Per Mediapost.com and Reuters, the lineup will change starting on January 13th, “American Idol” will have two two-hour season premieres on Tuesday, January 13 and Wednesday, January 14 before it settles into its regular hour-long Tuesday 8 p.m. and Wednesday 8 p.m. shows. After the premieres, FRINGE will settle in on January 20th (Inauguration Day!) at 9 p.m.

Hopefully, this lead-in will give it an even bigger boost than House did. It’s great to see Fox giving the show such a great chance to keep the current viewers happy and bring in new potential fans.
